Uniting for a good Cause: MAPFRE Malta’s Ice Cream Day Supports CCIF Malta in the Fight Against Human Trafficking

MAPFRE Malta recently organized a heartwarming event that brought smiles and sweet treats to employees and the people who were passing by the Ice cream van, all while supporting the noble cause of human trafficking. Once again this year , the company hosted an Ice Cream Day, an internal initiative that showcased the spirit of giving and community.

“As part of our ongoing corporate social responsibility efforts, this year, MAPFRE decided to support the NGO CCIF Malta – an organization dedicated to ending human trafficking and slavery in Malta.” Said Ines da Silva, Chief Officer for Human Resources

Employees volunteered their time and efforts to sell ice cream tickets across all MAPFRE Malta offices and to passersby . These tickets were later redeemable for delicious ice creams, served fresh from Brain-Freeze ice cream truck parked right in front of Middlesea House building. Each ticket represented not just a delightful ice cream treat but also a contribution to a significant cause.

Javier Moreno, MAPFRE CEO who also helped during the day serving the ice creams explained that through the collective efforts of the compassionate team and with a generous top up by the company funds will be donated to CCIF Malta, supporting their crucial work in rescuing and rehabilitating victims and driving awareness and prevention initiatives across the country.

“MAPFRE Malta takes immense pride in the unwavering support and enthusiastic participation of its employees. Their dedication further solidified the company’s resolve to make a meaningful impact on the lives of others and contribute to a better and safer world “ said Etienne Sciberras MAPFRE MSV Life CEO who also took part in this initiative by helping to serve ice creams.
