These awards are international and have a cash prize per category of 40,000 euros. The deadline for entries is May 31. The 4 categories are:
José Manuel Martínez Martínez Lifetime Achievement Award. Recognizes individuals who, throughout their lives, have contributed to improving the lives of others, not only professionally but also personally, through initiatives that have contributed to supporting charitable causes.
A new feature of this edition is that nominations may only be proposed by: the winners of previous editions; the members of any of the judging panels convened in this edition; the trustees of Fundación MAPFRE and members of the Management Committee; other individuals and institutions of recognized prestige previously invited by Fundación MAPFRE.
Award for the Entity with the Best Track Record in Social Causes. Aimed at recognizing the work of institutions that have carried out important and high-impact actions in the social, cultural, road safety, unintentional injury prevention or health promotion fields. To decide this award, the judging panel will evaluate the effectiveness of the projects and the social relevance of the work developed.
Award for the Best Project or Initiative for its Social Impact. Recognizes differentiating projects that contribute to substantially improving the lives of many people. The judging panel will take into account the importance of the initiative, the degree of innovation and originality, and its capacity to be extended to other similar situations.
Award for the Best Initiative in the Agricultural and Livestock Sector
This is the third time that Fundación MAPFRE will be awarding this biennial prize that recognizes the work of entrepreneurs, producers and professionals in the agricultural and livestock sector who have innovated in their organizations, improved quality control and safety standards in their production chain, optimized the use of resources and ensured their long-term sustainability, favoring the development of a more competitive, sustainable and territorially balanced economic model.
