Fundación Mapfre announces grants totalling 275,000 euros for research projects related to health and insurance and social protection

Fundación Mapfre has launched a new edition of its Ignacio H. Larramendi research grants for a total amount of 275,000 euros, aimed at researchers or research teams in the academic and professional field, who carry out their work independently or within the framework of universities, hospitals, companies or research centers to which they are attached and whose object of study is related to health promotion or insurance and social protection.

The grants for promoting health-related projects have a maximum amount of 30,000 euros gross each. The research may deal with obesity prevention, the promotion of physical activity and emotional well-being (including the appropriate use of new technologies); education in life-saving skills for the general population; assessment of bodily damage; health management and longevity and influence of lifestyles; among other things.

These grants are also aimed at researchers interested in promoting projects related to insurance, risk management, new technologies in the field of insurance and social protection: pensions, savings, investments, asset liquefaction and the Silver Economy (longevity economics), who can receive up to a maximum of 15,000 euros gross per grant.

This is a worldwide call and projects may be submitted in Spanish, English or Portuguese before October 22, 2026.
