NGOs in Malta can benefit from €30,000 for project through programme by Fundación MAPFRE

Local NGOs have the chance to receive €30,000 in funding for their projects related to development, be it in education, health, nutrition or access to the labour market.

Fundación MAPFRE, a not for profit organisation founded by MAPFRE, has launched the first calls for projects aiming to support development in Latin America, United States, Philippines, Turkey, Malta and Portugal.

Entities interested in submitting their projects can do so until February 2016. The project proposal will be put up online and the public vote will elect the best five projects. Later on, a jury of experts will select the winning project, which will receive a maximum of €30,000 to implement the project.

The programme, Formando Comunidad, aims at fostering comprehensive education, inclusive of children and young people at risk of social exclusión. Currently there are 107 cooperation projects running in 23 countries, from which 105,000 children and youth in poverty and social excluson benefit.

Fundación MAPFRE develops cooperation projects in countries where MAPFRE is present. MAPFRE Middlesea is part of the MAPFRE group and Fundación MAPFRE is the parent company of the MAPFRE group.
