Energy Saving

Energy savings is going to play a key role in MAPFRE Group’s initiative to fight climate change. MAPFRE, both in Malta and at Group level, is currently promoting the reduction of energy, water and paper consumption within the company’s many offices and is encouraging the practice of working remotely amongst its employees.

We all use energy in many different forms in our daily routine life, and it’s safe to say we cannot even think even about how to survive without it. We use energy to light our homes and for street lighting as well, to be able to power machineries and equipment in factories, helps to cook our food, for playing music and operating televisions and many more every day regular uses.

Energy conservation plays a significant role in lessening climate change by aiding in the replacement of non-renewable resources with renewable energy. Energy conservation is often the most inexpensive solution to energy shortages, and it is a more environmentally friendly alternative to increased energy production.

Moreover, energy conservation plays a very important role because the utilization of non-renewable resources also impacts our environment. More particularly, the use of fossil fuel pollutes the air and water with chemicals such as carbon dioxide. Thes high emissions of carbon dioxide are a result from the combustion of oil, coal and gas in power stations, heating systems, and vehicle engines.
