MAPFRE Malta volunteering team joins Jays of Sunshine on an unforgettable day of joy for the young patients of the Rainbow Ward Children’s Hospital.

The heartwarming event, sponsored by MAPFRE Malta and organized in collaboration with Jays of Sunshine and Puttinu Cares Foundation, brought together children and their families for a day of fun-filled activities at the picturesque Tortuga Beach Club.

MAPFRE Malta, demonstrated its unwavering commitment to the well-being of the community by joining hands with Jays of Sunshine, a renowned organization dedicated to spreading happiness, and the esteemed Puttinu Cares Foundation, known for its support to families facing medical challenges.

The day began with excitement and anticipation as the children and their families arrived at Tortuga Beach Club. Paddle boat, kayak trips building sandcastles and playing beach games around the Armier Coast were amongst the activities that MAPFRE organised for the children.

The festivities continued with a delightful sunset dinner at the beach club’s restaurant. The children and their families savoured delicious treats while soaking in the breathtaking views, creating cherished memories that will be special for years to come.

The success of this heartwarming event would not have been possible without the dedicated support of the MAPFRE volunteers, commented Ines da Silva, Chief Officer for HR. “These enthusiastic individuals played a crucial role in organizing engaging games for the children, ensuring every moment was brimming with joy and happiness. Their watchful eyes and helping hands ensured the safety and well-being of the young participants, as they enjoyed the water and participated in various activities.”

“The event showed the incredible impact that organizations and dedicated volunteers can have on the lives of children and families facing challenging times. It served as a reminder that acts of kindness, no matter how big or small, can create a world of difference” said Boris Curmi, MAPFRE Middlesea Chief Commercial Officer.
