SDG 1: No Poverty

What is the problem?

Did you know that the smallest nations experiencing conflict have the highest rates of poverty and that 42,000 individuals have to leave their homes every day in search of safety from war or conflict?

Do you feel bad when you watch TV stories about the starving children in refugee camps and the incredibly poor people you see during disaster and catastrophe broadcasts?

Have you ever considered what YOU could do to improve the world so that such poverty and misery could be lessened? You have the opportunity to act right now!

What can you do?

  1. Once a week, buy fair trade fruit to support struggling farmers.
  2. Buy a fair-trade item (not a fruit) once a month to support underprivileged employees.
  3. Donate to organizations that help children
  4. Give family and friends information about poverty so they can take action as well.
