happy summer

How to have a happy, healthy summer!

Summer is here! A new exercise program that is appropriate for the weather is required as well as a change in routine, nutrition, and diet plan as the seasons change. The start of warm weather might make your body more susceptible to many diseases, so it’s important to follow some health recommendations to have a healthy summer.

Here are a few tips to stay healthy this summer

  1. Eat healthy and light

Eat light, small, frequent meals. The body generates a lot of heat when it consumes substantial meals that are high in carbohydrates and fats. Concentrate on eating fresh produce with a high-water content, such oranges, watermelon, tomatoes, etc.

  1. Take care of your eyes.

Wear protective eyewear to shield your eyes from harsh sunlight at work and at leisure. Wear sunglasses that block at least 99% of UV light when you are outside.

  1. Avoid Alcohol and Caffeine

Coffee, alcoholic beverages, and carbonated beverages can all cause rapid dehydration. Reduce your intake of these favourite beverages as much as possible especially in the summer. Water or flavoured water is a great substitute.

  1. Drink plenty of water

Summer heat and sweat can dehydrate your body, which can lead to unpleasant health effects including fever and chills. Drink at least 2 to 3 litres of water per day to keep oneself hydrated.

  1. Remain inside.

Limit your outside activities to the cooler hours of the day, such as before 11 am or after 5 pm.

  1. Avoid outside food

Foodborne infections can develop from roadside food that has been polluted. Additionally, improper food storage during the summer heat can cause food to spoil and cause an illness in the stomach.
